This year Delicia will celebrate its 70-year anniversary and we are very proud of this fact! The history of Delicia goes back to the year 1938. In that year Mr. Teunissen sr. opened a candy factory in Rotterdam called Delicia. In the late forties we moved to Tilburg, where the basis was laid for present and future Delicia. In Tilburg we started producing chocolate vermicelli, the no 1 sweet bread spread in the Netherlands. With this characteristic Dutch bread spread Delicia acquired a worldwide name for itself. Delicia specialised further in the production of chocolate flakes, pajets en coloured vermicelli. From the 80’s onwards, next to the extension of the production, we mainly invested in knowledge and technology. Shortly we added coating technology and we can now justly call ourselves the chocolate specialist.
